- In most communities, the local United Way maintains an information and referral database and/or telephone service. In many parts of the country, one can simply call 211 to be connected with the local information network. If you visit the website www.unitedway.org you can type in a zip code and get information about the location, telephone number, and often a website link to your local United Way.
